I swapped my slave and his hard drive
Did you put his hard drive into slave mode?

Why didn't you just clear the admin password & be done with it?

I'm a little confused by what you described. Why would you have to put his HDD into your computer to wipe it? You could have just wiped it while it was in his computer. And why would you use a recovery disc? It sounds like you may have wiped your own HDD.

Go into the bios & make sure your drive with XP on, is the one that is 1st boot.
