I only get a blue screen, Help?

Specs: Windows XP
K heres the deal. I had a virus, I was trying to remove it. So everytime I would try to start my computer in safe mode, it would go to that blue screen that says windows has detected virus, has been shut down etc run chkdsk, (dont know how if all I get is blue screen). BUT I could reboot and start windows normally... So me making a dumb move.... I went to msconfig, and automatically set it that my computer would start in safe mode each time I started my computer. Bad moooveee. I thought I can remove this bug if I could just get it in safe mode and get.... So now all I get is the Blue screen. Nothing works, I cannot get anything but my blue screen or if I press f8 f2 that takes you to the boot up menu or set up.... OR it just automatically goes to blue screen. Im wondering if I can somehow in the setup menu, or boot up menu overide this? I just need to get in.... somehow, so I can get my songs from itunes, and go back to manual settings, or get it professionally fixed.

Hey its always the same message on the blue screen. Windows has been shut down, its quite long, please run chkdsk, thats the same blue screen thats been popping up for months. Because when I was able to get online, I went to ms config and put the option to always start in safe mode, as every time I did, the blue screen would come on, ... UGH
