i need to know how to find path names in xp

Specs: Windows XP
can not figure out how to find path names in xp for where files are located "C:\Documents and Settings\your_username\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\"
like the one above. How do i locate the proper path nane to search for a file or files.

If you type the name of the application or file into Search from the Start menu, it will display the results naturally. It will also show you the location. To find more about the path, right click the item and choose Properties. I hope that's what you meant.

If for some reason you want to click through that path you will have to show hidden files and folders (Application Data folder is hidden).
