I need DSBackUp program to restore old backup

December 27, 2010 at 15:31:38
Specs: Windows XP
I backed up some files in the year 2000 using DS-Backup program Now I want to restore them. Where can I get DS-Backup program? (At that time I was not using Windows, but MS.DOS, and I use to go to C:\ prompt and type DSBackup there to start my backup).
If DSBackUp program cannot be located, then, how else can I restore my files? For example, one backup disc has the following files, how can I restore them?
File #3: DISK_NO.1.1 (1 FILE 375 KB)
I think that my data is in File#3 which has extension .1.

The above is an example of one backup 3.5inch floppy. I have about 10 such backups in about 20 floppys.

Also, I need Lotus123 spreadsheet program to read some old lotus files. How can I get that?

I think DOS used DiskSafe...

All I can say is good luck with the old stuff.

As for opening a Lotus 123 file you can open them in Excel.

Hi Ace_Omega:

I am willing to pay you for helping me in “RESTORING DSBACKUP” and for “OPENING LOTUS FILES”. Can you email me your email address so that I can send you an email attaching the files that I need to open? Then, you check it out if you can open the Lotus123 file in Excel, and if you can restore the backup.

Thanks. Yours truly, Al Shaw
