I have a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop.

Specs: Windows XP
Was connected to internet. Left room for a while. Came back, screen was black. Tried wiggling mouse. No response. Turned off and rebooted. Black screen with "Boot from CD" message came up. Any ideas? I tried rebooting and pressing F8, but it doesn't work. Please, in the simplest of terms for me.

There wasn't a CD in it. I actually just turned it on and did nothing. The "Boot From CD" message disappeared after about 10 minutes, the the Windows logo came up, stayed on for a long time, then the user login, stayed on a long time, finally brought up everything and seems to be working fine now. It took about an hour and 10 minutes to finally boot up.
