Open IE8 Right click on the space of taskbar, uncheck the bing toolbar. Then go to the open Change homepage "bingsearch" to www.asyoulike.com. Close the IE. Uninstall bing from Add Remove Program. Try it!

I suggest that you don't follow the above "advice".

What do you want to use as your IE8 homepage? For example, if you want it to be Computing.net, simple go to http://www.computing.net/ then go to Start > Control Panel (classic view) > Internet Options & at the top under Homepage, click "Use current", then click Apply.

To change the search box in the upper right of the IE8 toolbar, just click the small drop arrow next to the Search icon (magnifying glass) & make your change(s)
