i don't know the java aplication i need for my computer

Specs: Windows XP, dfgty
i'm trying to download java into my computer, i have internet explorer, im not good with these
aplications, please give me a tip of what exactly to download, i tried to download
one aplication that said internet explorer and firefox , but it is not asking me to run , it only
gives me the option to save or cancel. thanks

why not just save it and then run it...doesn't that work for you?
