Specs: Windows XP
hello there! i will go straight to my problem, i'm sorry if i do grammar mistakes in my post, my english :)

i have an external hard disk. i was running winxp sp3 and my drivers were:

c: xp was installed here
d: saved for my data
g: external hard disk

damn to my curiosity, i installed ubuntu as the second os to the d: driver. after using both os's, i formated c: and d: while my external hard disk was unplugged. after having a 0 km vanilla xp installed, i plugged in my ex. hd and what the? there is a folder named ".Trash-1000" in my ex. hd and i cant delete it. the reason being is: "cannot delete system volume information".

it is kind of a long story but, can anyone help me about it? this folder uses 3.5 gb of my ex. hd volume and i want to delete it. thanks :)

You could take a look at this program. Install it and if you can't delete it in Windows, try safe mode.

Run Kaspersky in Safe Mode also. If it's a trojan and it picks it up, it can be deleted.

You can enter your ubuntu linux .Then go to your C and D with Nautilus,CTRL+H ,then you can find the folder named .Trash-1000.Now you can delete it .

If you failed ,try

cd /media/yourdiskname
cd ./.Trash-1000
sudo rm -rf *
