Are you running a 32bit or 64bit Windows? Is the version of Office made for 32bit or 64bit?

Operating System: Windows XP with Service Pack
(SP) 3 (32-bit operating system (OS) only) or
Windows Vista with SP1, Windows 7, Windows
Server 2003 R2 with MSXML 6.0, Windows Server
2008, or later 32- or 64-bit OS.

ah!

the original purchase of the program was for my new Asus which i believe is 64-bit (sorry I not technical at all) and my old Dell pc i use at home is quite probably 32-bit, although it was operational in the 'early days'.
can you let me know the difference (sorry) and why it initially supported the program but now rejects it - sounds like this must be the reason - but when i rang a tecky from my local pc shop this was not mentioned. any further help appreciated
