when i try to load office home and student 2010 my pc comes back and says the computer is not formatted to receive this download? it used to run ok but suddenly started blocking up on me - when i tried a reinstall i got the message that my computer was not formatted to receive this program? what has gone wrong and how can i fix it?
Are you running a 32bit or 64bit Windows? Is the version of Office made for 32bit or 64bit? Operating System: Windows XP with Service Pack (SP) 3 (32-bit operating system (OS) only) or Windows Vista with SP1, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 R2 with MSXML 6.0, Windows Server 2008, or later 32- or 64-bit OS.
ah! the original purchase of the program was for my new Asus which i believe is 64-bit (sorry I not technical at all) and my old Dell pc i use at home is quite probably 32-bit, although it was operational in the 'early days'.
can you let me know the difference (sorry) and why it initially supported the program but now rejects it - sounds like this must be the reason - but when i rang a tecky from my local pc shop this was not mentioned. any further help appreciatedJC
