Specs: Windows XP, Not sure
I am wondering when one of my old desktops came out, an HP Pavilion 513 windows xp. Also I can not get it to send a signal to my monitor, maybe it has something to do with the beep, beep beep beep, beep beep beep, beep when I turn it on. I know that the monitor knows a computer is there because it says "please wake up your computer". If you ca tell me how to get the screen to respond please help me

the beep, beep beep beep, beep beep beep, beep in my case always had something to do with the rams not seated right. and that would cause the montor to not work. then again... the beeping can be letting you know of other issues too

"maybe it has something to do with the beep, beep beep beep, beep beep beep, beep"

Of course it does. The beeping is a code; there should be a repeating pattern. We need to know the exact number of beeps & whether they are long/short or high/low tones.

The beeps are as I said. Beep and then Beep, beep, beep and then beep beep beep and then a beep in a middle pitched tone.
