After it loads in Safe Mode, click on the Start button, then type in msconfig. After msconfig loads, click on the Boot tab. If the Safe Boot box is checked, uncheck it, click Apply, then OK. Restart your computer and see if the problem is fixed.

Is your computer running Windows XP or Vista? The steps I typed above are for Vista.

Yes, you say you have Vista but have posted in the XP forum, so it's rather confusing.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

The only difference in between steps is that you'd type msconfig into the Start > Run dialog box.

After the computer boots, you will be prompted with a notice that adjustments were made. Just place a checkmark inside that box to ignore the prompt.

Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately. I don't check this site daily, but you're welcome to PM me as a reminder.
