Over time, after having problems with Windows, I've reinstalled overlays. I now have three Windows XP systems on my computer.
Can anyone tell me how to SAFELY remove two of these systems.
Any help much appreciated.

Hi mavis007.
Thanks for your quick reply.
I attempted your suggestion, but when I tried to load the Windows system I wanted to get rid of, I found a blank screen (black) with this message, "The following file is missing or corrupt, please reinstall. <Windows root>\System32\hal.dll.
Not being very computer savvy, this does'nt mean much to me. Have you any other suggestions?
Many thanks,
Bardolf.

Hi mavis007.
Thanks for your reply. I'll give it a try.

"but when I tried to load the Windows system I wanted to get rid of" why did you boot into it and why would you consider repairing it if you are going to delete it?
I would suggest you don't do a thing until you have posted your boot.ini for review. Repairing may very well trash your present working boot.
