I want to know at how many places entries are made in registry when a usb storage device is used, also tell me how to remove all the traces of usb storage device use from the PC

Windows itself does not keep a log anywhere of USB drive usage. Not unless security auditing is enabled and it isn't by default. Some applications may keep some kind of log but there are no standards for this so they can do it any way they wish.

Entries are made in registry at 3-4 places. and entry is also made in setupapi.log file. How to delete the registry entries.
