how to remove folder task bar from desktop on windows xp
right click on it and exit. If this is a toolbar, then right click on the task bar, under Toolbars and remove the checkmark.
Not absolutely sure what you mean by "folder task bar". Do you mean at the bottom on your desktop or at the top in your browser (IE or whatever)? Maybe you can clarify. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
Derek, In the older Windows OS's you could create a folder on your desktop, then drag it to the top, left or right side and it would create a taskbar so to speak. He may be talking about that.
it's not my regular taskbar...that is fine and is still located at bottom of desktop. this is an extra , much wider, bar that has tasks listed including "folder tasks" It's located on the lefthand side of desktop and cannot be mmoved nor deleted...grrrrrrr
Dunno. See if the responses to either of these two hits in Google help you: http://www.computing.net/answers/wi...
