i lost my excel file which was on desktop! that file was not deleted anymore!
I switched off my computer after 3 days I lost the file.
Someone can help?
1. check your trash,
2. run a search on local C: drive for this file,
3. file might be with a hidden attribute,if it all that does not bring any results you might try running a scan on your local hard drive with this software: Seagate File Recovery - it's going to be free for just one file (trial).
If you cant recover the file yourself seek professional help. There are many companies that specialise in recovering data from hard drives.
There's also Recuva (Free);

It's a good day when you learn something
-------------------------------------------
depending on how you switched off your computer you may have a corrupted file system. You would start by going to a command prompt and running chkdsk
if it says at the end to run the /f parameter do so by running chkdsk /f and answer yes to the question. shut down and restart for check disk to runAnswers are only as good as the information you provide.
