Specs: Windows XP
I RE-ISTALLED WINDOWS WITHOUT FORMATTING BUT NOW I CANT GET FILES THAT WERE THERE PRVIOUSLY. COULD THEY BE IN A HIDDEN FOLDER. I THOUGHT YOU ONLY LOSE YOUR DATA AFTER FORMATTING.

Try that program. If the free or the evaluation version doesn't let you save the files, it will it least let you copy them to another drive. Another way is to boot with Bactrack Linux but you have to understand Linux commands.

Patrick, where were the files located? If you could be a little more specific, that would help.
