how to make new drive in xp bootable

Specs: Windows XP
i have install a new drive and I copy all the files on it but now i need to make bootable

You can't just copy files across and expect it to work. You need to either clone the drive, with the appropriate software, or reinstall the OS.

Example:
Maxblast for maxtor hard drives.
Install maxblast on C:....the old hard drive
Install new hard drive as slave.
Run maxblast.
It will clone c: to new drive and ask if you want to make it bootable.
Reset the slave to master (using jumpers) and c: the old master to slave.

No mention if these are ide or sata.....or manufacturer above is for maxtor ide
