barno, The infamous red 'X' can have a number of causes. Generally it means that for whatever reason, the address specified couldn't be reconciled. If it appears in mail I've sent, I've found that if I FIRST save the pix to my machine it works.

We have no way of telling what email program you are using and for some reason you presumably didn't think it mattered.

For example, it could be Yahoo, Hotmail, Outlook Express, Windows Live (and many others). It might help if you can tell us this because they are all quite different.

Are you talking about a red X instead of a picture?

You need to describe your problem fully if you want to get help remotely from a forum.

I am sure that I have specified the following :
Win XP Pro and Windows Live mail .
I can not tell what is missing if I can not see it!
i oresume it is a picture.

Sometimes this can be the senders problem but I assume that you get so
many of these that it is unlikely.

This can actually be an Internet Explorer issue (it is linked to email). Try this:
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab > Reset.
