Solved How to get Original XP/Windows by using Boot Disk?

Specs: Windows 64
Hi:
I got 'boot disk' after Virus attack. It works fine. However, there is NO original/normal Windows XP when opening up Windows.

Instead, there are a bunch of strange programs, Control panels and etc. all of which is empty. For example, when I clicked to open 'My Document,' there are only two, Music and My Picture, both of which is empty. I have many Words in My Document which never shows after Boot Disk.

How to get an original Windows XP by using boot disk?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I am not really sure what you currently have.

See the link below for some help with that. Also, know that most icons on the desktop are nothing more than shortcuts. There are several ways to create shortcuts and place them on the desktop so it will look as you want it to.

"when I clicked to open 'My Document,' there are only two, Music and My Picture, both of which is empty"

That's all there is in the "My Documents" folder after Windows is freshly installed. Not sure what you mean by "boot disk" (there are many) but if you re-installed XP, you may have wiped out all your files. See if there's a "windows.old" folder, if there is, that's where all your files should be.
