Solved How to fix cyclic redundancy error on drive E

Specs: Windows XP home, 120gb ultra dma 512
I get an error, cyclic redundancy check on drive E.
How can I fix it? I am trying to copy a dvd. It worked yesterday on a different dvd. I have also tried cleaning the dvd.

Cyclic Redundancy error usually means the drive itself is faulty and needs replacing.

There are lots of threads available on that error. Google for it. Also click on the thread from Microsoft linked below.

The issue MIGHT be related to the DVD writer drive you are using. copying to optical disk. Cleaning the lens on the drive may help.
