✔ Best Answer
A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS HAS BEEN SUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER

That message has nothing to do with SATA/IDE settings in the BIOS. It indicates a hardware fault not an incorrect setting. You should start by testing the hard drive as it may be that which is faulty. You need to test it with Seagate SeaTools for DOS which runs from a bootable CD.

Click "Downloads" on this page: http://www.seagate.com/support/down...

Now download & install IMGburn from here: http://filehippo.com/download_imgburn/ and use it to create a CD from the SeaTools ISO file.

Boot your faulty PC from that CD & SeaTools for DOS will open.

Note: You can use SeaTools for DOS to test any brand of hard drive
