Some ideas here:
http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id...Are you certain factory reset is necessary because you will lose all your own stuff?
Maybe we can help you fix the problem some other way.Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
echoing Derek re' losing all your stuff with a factory rest routine... If you really must go that route... first safeguard your personal files. At least copy them to DVD and also an external hard drive too is nice(r).
So as per Derek, what is the actual problem you're dealing with; as it may be possible to resolve it without the reset routine.
The 'press zero while turning it on' only applies to their laptops made after about mid 2007. Yours is probably older than that. You'll need an XP installation disk or restore disks for that model (if you can find them).
