Windows Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP

Before downgrading, maybe we can assist in the problems you're having with IE8.

Additionally, would you consider one of the other popular web browsers such as Firefox, Chrome, or Opera? I'd even recommend Firefox 3.6 over IE 7 for improved security, better support of HTML 5 and CSS 3, and what I believe is a better user interface.

Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately. I don't check this site daily, but you're welcome to PM me as a reminder.

Stick with IE8 (better, newer, more secure) over IE7 & just fix whatever is wrong with it. Maybe if you'd explain what the problem is someone will be able to help.

Yes indeed, it would be a good idea to let us know what problem you are having. Even if you go to an alternative browser it is as well to have IE available and working as well as it can with the latest version.

In general however I've found IE8 becoming increasingly rickety on many websites as it is no longer updated (only for security). Often websites have popups suggesting updating to a newer browser. It cannot cope with recent features such as HTML5.

I am using Firefox and that has none of the issues IE was having. It looks as much like IE as any other browser and you can import your IE favorites.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
