You can change your Flash player settings here: http://www.macromedia.com/support/d...

But, it really means something is trying to load flash content before you log on
And luckily you don't have flash player else it would start

You can use this free program to disable unwanted Windows startups: http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

Hi Kimsland,

thanks for your reply. but i'm really crap at anything to do with computers. I have installed the link that you gave to to disable unwanted windows startups. but do not know what to do - in connection with the error popup do i remove Adobe Gamma (c:\program Files\Common files\adobe\calibation..)

If that is one of the shortcuts mentioned in Startup Control Panel, then Yes

Note: All the little links shown in that program are shortcuts to programs starting with Windows (oh and it has a few different tabs up the top to select as well)

Instead of deleting them, just untick the ones that you don't want starting with Windows
Then Restart

lh, Are you using a screensaver and did you just change your screensaver? If the answer is yes change to a different screensaver.

ok i've been studpid - my partner has had a look with me and we have more info (actually this info will prob make a difference of the solution).

When i start up comp - everthing is fine and i log in.

The popup 'error cant find macromedia flash' appears when i leave the comp and not use it, then come back to use pc (I have set the screensaver to wait 1min & ticked on resume, password protect for testing) - so on leaving the comp for 1 min it goes to screensaver mode

when i hit a key this is when the error message appears - then if i press ok it just goes to the next screen which is the usual unlock comp. screen.

Sorry for not being so clear before - now can you help???? I haven't change anything on the screensaver (i have used the same one for 4 years)

Just a thought on the screensaver. I when to the screensaver settings and i have picture which i got from internet 4 years ago. so just mucking about and pressed 'settings' button on the screen saver tab in display properties and the same error message pops up

lh, Go to the link below and download the "Windows: uninstall_flash_player.exe (205 KB) (updated 12/08/09)" then follow the instructions exactly as shown to uninstall the Flash Player. Make sure that you reboot your computer prior to reinstalling Flash Player.

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_141...

Then reinstall the Flash Player at the link below. Make sure that you uncheck the Free Google Toolbar (optional) first if you don't want it.
