how to change master/slave setting monitor

Specs: Windows XP
just replaced a bad video card for a desktop dell dimension 2350 series. how do I change to master slave setting or bios setting to recognize to new card ?

What card did you try to install? According to the specs, it can only use a PCI card.

Master/slave setting is for IDE hard drives & CD/DVD drives, it has nothing to do with video cards. All you should have to do is install the card, connect the monitor cable to it, then bootup.

I have installed the card but I can only see the monitor while its booting up (the xp screens) and afterwards it just black. Now if I select f12 while booting I can see it the entire time

its a pci card but I'm using a different slot.

I don't know what F12 does on your machine, but if you can see the display, after it finishes booting up, install the drivers for it.
