I got your Tom's Guide in my email this morning and it's funny cuz I was going to go to your site today anyway to ask this question. it was fate that brought me here. ; )
I hope I can get some help here that works. I used to do this all the time, however, things have changed alot.

✔ Best Answer
If you're just copying CD's, most burning software will allow you to do that easily---should have a "copy disc" option. If you're making something from ripped files (.mp3, .wav, etc.) then most programs also have that option, but it would be specified as such (such as "create CD from other media"). Use good quality media, as some players can be picky (some may not play CD-R media at all)...

so if I just copy it, it should play in my car's cd player? is that what you're saying? because that's basically what I did. of course I have to save them to my library first and then copy them to a cd-r. It was for my brother. so I hope it worked. I haven't heard from him so I'm crossing my fingers.
I'll give 'best answer' when I hear later.
thanx till then.

I heard from my brother and this is his msg...
"It works, I am happy, happy, happy!! Thanks again."
thanx for all your help altho I'd already done it. I did need a little backup 'pat me on the back' help and you gave that to me.
So... I'm also happy, happy, happy again. I thought I'd lost my touch.
I'm now almost 63 yrs old and can't remember some things. but it comes back to me slowly as I use a program.
thanx people, good to have you around to count on !

almost EVERYthing changes when you hit 55 so when you hit 60 things really start changing, at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it !
at least there are some great places to go to fix some things that don't belong in hospitals, that can be fixed, as in computers. and you people are great ! thanx to all of you people like me can still see and talk to the world.
and I did use the Free Windows CD Burner and it works swell. thanks for that too.
Thanks to Tom's Guide and y'all I'll still here.
