how is turn off print spooler

Specs: Windows XP
My computer wont go in stand by because it says I need to turn off print spooler. What is that? Never had this problem before.

Step through the tabs under the title.

This one is better.
Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Services and Applications>Services

Then half way down the list select the spooler and stop the service.
