How Do You Format A CD-R In Windows XP

how do you format a CD-R in Windows XP. I have been asked to do a larger message. I am just filling up space to comply.

    1. You generally don’t need to. The writing software should write then close out the disc when completed. Follow these steps if you’re using WinXP’s built-in CD burning software:

      If you’re using something else, make sure the program is set to finalize the disc when done—otherwise it may not be readable on another drive.
