✔ Best Answer
Install this & it will find them, just a matter of remembering keywords for the search.

Or, if they are jpg/jpeg, put either of those file extensions into search.

UltraSearch. Go into Options & make sure Include Folders is checked.

Did you use Cut & Paste, or Copy & Paste? Cut & Paste can be risky if something goes wrong.

If the above suggestions do not help then try the recovery software called Recuva. The more you write to the drive the more likely to overwrite files. Get recuva from the link below.

My guess is that they are there somewhere. Do a normal Windows search for one of the file names. If it finds it then the rest are likely to be in the same place.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

" but I still cannot retrieve the image information"
Retrieve it from where?
1: Crashed hard drive?
2: Other storage device?
3: Recycle Bin emptied?
4: Any other way I haven't thought of?

Thinking to the future, did you by any chance move the My Pictures folder itself? If so you can cause issues by moving system folders manually. There might be ways to restore the default, so let us know if you should need to later.
