Specs: Windows XP compaq presario 6000 , 256MB DDR 5DRAM 32 MB 60 GB HARD DRIVE
I have a compaq presario 6000 , the tag says presario 6410nx , it has windows xp on it , i need to recover it to factory settings. I dont have a disk for this , i was never givin one when i purchased it.
After much troubleshooting on this i found information to pull up the BIOS with the F11 key and it told me to click on the system recovery. However when i pulled that up i didnt see any system recovery.

"I dont have a disk for this , i was never givin one when i purchased it"

You mean you never created the discs. Very few, if any, OEMs supply discs anymore. Instead, they put the files on the HDD & provide a software program that allows you to create your own set of recovery discs. Unfortunately, most people never read the documentation that comes with their PC & the discs never get created.

Try "pressing the F10 key repeatedly when the computer is first started":

If no joy in getting the computer restored on your own, I have a hp xp pro service pack 2 I can mail you. The coa has been removed so you will need to use the one on you computer.

It is unlikely that it will have all the drivers for your particular system on it so you will need to get them.

If interested, you can send your mailing address through the private message option.

No charge....for disk or shipping.

W.L

Just in case....This is an unopened OEM ver2002 xp pro disk with coa removed
