How do I remove XP Home from my Old HD

October 26, 2010 at 11:24:53
Specs: Windows XP, 2.70 gh Intel P D-C/2048
I have had a new Hard Drive installed and XP Home reinstalled. The new HD has become my main HD and I plan to use the old one for Backups.I have been unable to remove a couple of files and frankly am not sure whether they should be deleted?
One is Machine Keys and the other is Windows.I've had a look on the new HD & the Machine keys folder is empty.
I suppose the option is delete or try to move them.
When I have the HD empty I plan to do an Acronis rstore.

So you have the old one hooked up to your computer now and can view it in explorer?
If so, go into disk management (right click on MY COMPUTER>MANAGE>DISK MANAGEMENT) and select that drive and right click on it and format it.
