You need to explain more clearly what you're trying to do & why. Do you want to run XP from the new drive or just use it for storage?

HI
Thanks for reply, My C. drive is full, 76gb and I just want to put contents onto my external hard drive so I can use my computer again. Is there a way to do this? or can I use my 465gb external HD as defalt?
Regards J.T.

Use ntbackup with system state.

Katy Perry, I'd never treat you badly.

So you have 2 HDDs - one 80GB & one 500GB? The smaller HDD should be used for the OS & very little else. If the 80GB HDD is filling up, what are you using the 500GB HDD for? If the contents of your My Documents folder is taking up all the space, move it to the 500GB HDD. Right click on it, select Properties, then click Move.

Also, download & install CCleaner-Slim. Run the Cleaner & remove everything it finds:
