You have to have a good working image to start with.

Some people like to use the free built in NTbackup program. It is as good as any.

Other might consider PING or g4u or Clonezilla or really any linux live cd to use partimage or dd or tar.

Hang up and live.

I was copying the entire Disk 80 gig HD to the external 149 gig HD by EaseUS diskcopy software, but during the copying process, I aborted the task because it was taking too long; And whenever I click to that destination disk HD, a the red cautioned sign pops up immediately, and it says:
“HD IS NOT ACCESSIBLE. THE FILE OR DIRECTORY IS CORRUPTED AND UNREADABLE.”
I entered the Easeus todo backup cd into the cdtray to bootup from harddrive what was not accessible, and it made the HD accessible, but all the previous file has been vanished from that HD.
I will be waiting for ur reply!
