Core i5 - it's 64-bit. The Operating System is another matter. As you say it's XP (strange to have a near-obsolete OS on such a new machine), I'd wager that it's 32-bit. The splash screen when it starts will tell you if it's 64-bit.

I changed the o/s from 7 to XP as I can't stand 7 or Vista. It doesn't say when it starts up.

right click "my computer" and click on properties.....the tab which opens up should tell you which is installed. or at the run command type dxdiag hit enter and under system tab...usually the opening one it may shown in there.

or you could look in the control panel in system information.

Most XP's are 32 bit.
