How do I go about installing XP on my D drive

Specs: Windows 7, 12 gb
I have a dell 9100 XPS computer with two hard drives with windows 7 on my C drive, 64 bit. I want to instll XP on my D drive with out messing up any thing on my C drive. Does anyone out there have this kind of experance on how to do this the propery way. Please help if you have done this before and know how to do it the right way.

you could also go download virtualbox and just run xp in a VM.
