Specs: Windows XP
I have Microsoft Office and want to disable microsoft outlook. I have not set up an email account on it but if i'm in a website and want to send someone the link to it, microsoft outlook automatically opens for me to email it. I don't want this, I use outlook express for my emails.
Also AVG is working on microsoft outlook but I want it to scan Outlook Express. I just want to get rid of microsoft outlook but as i'm not sure what i'm doing I don't want to go in and delete things incase i muck programs up.

✔ Best Answer
Just change your default email setting in Internet Options. Go to Start > Control Panel (classic view) > Internet Options > Programs tab

Ahhh, thank you so much !!!! Such a simple answer, but I just didnt know where to look to change my requirements (novice user). Now I remember. Most appreciated.
Would you have any idea how to get AVG to change my email scanning to Outlook express ? I can't find any options to change for that & have tried finding out on the net but can't seem to get a clear cut answer. Have tried a few things but nothing works.

I just received your reply and will look into the link you sent me a little later when i get more time. I can get around it by uninstalling AVG & reinstalling - and apparently using the wizard at the initial setup to change email. But there must be an easier way, so thought i'd pose the question.
You have helped me with the most important part of my problem, so thank you very much for taking the time to do that. MOST appreciated !!
