As far as I remember, vshare creates a folder in \Windows\system32, named vshare.
Make sure, that your internet browser is not running.
Simply delete the folder vshare completely.
Then start you browser.

Johnw,

google search isn't a real help on that.
Most of it is just crap.

Sorry, if it sounds like.

But I googled by myself and read alot of the hits, but as I mentioned, it really doesn't help.

Paulsep,

No I don't think you were not rude at all. I think you were just exasperated or frustrated. We simply cannot control what we wish to see posted in this forum as the best or correct answer.

Johnw,

please don't take this as offensive. It wasn't meant to be.

Ok, the best way I think, is for whoever answers, is to do it their way, then when the problem is vague, the OP can do the final sorting out.

I never feel exasperated or frustrated, if you look at most names posted, I would say English is not their native tongue, so I make allowances & if I cannot understand what they want, I generalize & never bring in lecturing/sarcasm. They can always come back with more accurate info.

Use the "Windows Explorer", click on the drive, where your windows is installed to, mostly drive C:, and click, or maybe doubleclick on Windows, System32, and search for the vshare folder.
When found, rightclick the vshare folder and choose delete.

2) Enter keyword.url into the search box. You will see the dreaded vshare.toolbarhome.com
3) Double click keyword.url and enter “http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&q=”
And your done!

I am not sure if you are/were looking for this one ..

What about this: (if firefox user)

1. Go to Tools (upper menu)
2. Select AddOns
3. You should see there list of addons installed
4. Find vShare there
5. Uninstall it
6. Restart Firefox.

I have removed my vShare searcher function while following these steps, hopefully it will help you.
