how do i delete usernames off my computer

Specs: Windows XP
We have a bunch of user names on our computer. Some we no longer use and some are my kids friends. How can I delete them?

Go into Control Panel/ User Accounts and delete them.

Thank you Grasshopper for your reply. however, I did what you said, and there was nothing in the user accounts about user names. Maybe I wasn't clear I dont want to delete accounts just the user names.
I hope that makes sense.

If you are going to delete user names you have to delete the accounts that go with them because without a user name they are unusable, just taking up disk space. If there is any information in any user account you want to keep copy it elsewhere. You cannot just delete a user name and leave the account intact. It serves no purpose.

A user name is just a label for an account. You cannot have one without the other.

So, when other people log into their email from my computer their user name is their forever even though their email wasnt set up from my account? (please excuse my ignorance)

Logout of the email and log back in with your username?

Just delete your cookies and you should get what you want, I think.
