1) Right click on the start button
2) left click on properties
3) Left click on the customize button that is NOT greyed out
4) Left click on the add button
5) click browse and go find your program

Click on Start, Settings, Taskbar and Start Menu, Start Menu, Customize, Add, browse to the executable, click OK, Next, scroll down to Startup, Next, Finish.

Do you mean you also want to add that program to the Quick Launch bar? Programs are added to the Taskbar when they are running and minimized (normally.)

Option II

1) Left click and hold the button down on your file that you want added to the start menu.
2) Drag your mouse over the start button and wait
3) When the start menu opens up, move your mouse to the position you want the prg to show up. It will only drop I believe in locations where a black line shows up while doing your drag. This indicates where the prg will show up.
4) If you need to go into sub menus of your start menu, simply hold the mouse over the main item and a sub menus should show up in a couple of seconds.

(I am using a classic layout for my start button)
