What browser?

If you mean the drop down that shows visited websites then there is no provided facility to delete single items.

In IE you can clear them all from:
Tools > Internet Options > Content > Settings button (under AutoComplete heading) > Delete AutoComplete history button.

The two browsers I have, Opera 11.10 and Internet Explorer 8, allow individual deleting of addresses from address bar menu. Go to address bar to access the address. Move mouse pointer move down list. Each address in the menu you should see an "X" to the right of the address. Clicking on the "X" deletes address from address bar. Look for the same to see if this also applies to other browsers that you have.

Sorry, my first para #1 was incorrect. I've always kept the drop-down automatically cleared and hadn't realised IE8 & 9 had an individual delete feature.

Mine (IE8) doesn't seem to be quite like that given in #2 (no X's). However, I can select History from the bottom of the address bar drop-down list then go to the individual website listings against days and delete them with a right click.
