You have another system able to connect to the internet and download files?

Presuming so, you can download it as an ISO here, and burn to a dvd, which then use.

✔ Best Answer
You can't install SP3 until either SP1 or SP2 is installed.

You can use a different computer which has internet access to download the offline installation packages:

SP2: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...

SP3: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...

Copy the service packs to CD or DVD then put the CDs in to the computer which needs them.

" I cannot communicate with the internet with my present bare-bone system"

Why is that? Didn't you install the drivers after reinstalling XP?
