Specs: Windows XP
How do I reinstall WININET? Computer now has no start or icons Help, Please. Can I buy a CD with WININET on it? Should I reinstall windowsXP? Should I use system recovery? If I do that will it mess up my wireless connection? The desktop is the primary to my wireless, If I do system recovery will it stop my router from working? I don't know what to do>

Are you referring to Wininet.dll if so what makes you thing there is a problem with it. Wininit.dll is an essential part of windows and provides all Internet connections for Windows. It has nothing to do with LAN connections. If you can get into Windows reinstalling Internet Explore will also reinstall wininet.dll otherwise a will need to do a repair install to re-install it.

There are different versions for different versions of Windows so just installing any old version won't do it.

when I start my computer,I only get my wallpaper and a message: can't find WININET. I can't do anything because I have no icons, no start, nothing. I think if I could get a CD that may be the only way because I can hopefully install a cd. what do you think. where can i get this. i don't know alot aout computers.
