Specs: Windows XP
I THINK I MAY HAVE A VIRUS. I WAS ON THE INTERNET AND MY LAPTOP FROZE UP SO I RESTARTED IT. WHILE RESTARTING IT CONTINUES TO SHUT DOWN AND RESTART ON IT'S OWN NEVER FULLY OPENING UP WINDOWS XP. ONCE IT GET'S TO THE WINDOWS STARTUP PAGE THE GREEN BARS SCROLLS ABOUT 3 TIMES IT GOES STRAIGHT TO A SCREEN THAT SAYS "WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCOVENIENCE BUT WINDOWS DID NOT START SUCCESSFULLY. A RECENT HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE CHANGE MIGHT HAVE CAUSED THIS........." I TRIED THE STARTING IT FROM THE OPTION ON THAT PAGE "LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION" AND IT DOES THE SAME THING. I AM UNABLE TO USE SAFE MODE BECAUSE IT GIVES ME A LONG LIST OF MULTI (0) RDISK(0) PETITIONS AND THEN IT RESTARTS. HELP ME PLEASE. I HAVE THE RESTORATION DISK AND DON'T MIND RESTORING BUT I HAVE FILES I WANT TO SAVE FIRST (I need basic instructions).

Posting again so soon, is not allowed.

You should remain in your lasting Posting ---

Also using all capital letters in your text is like shouting at people.
