help urgent & devastated (PM8 screwed up)

Specs: Windows XP
well, i was running partition magic 8 to add unallocated space to my drive, the system was restarted by hang due to kaspersky and now my drive is hidden, I nEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
it can be viewed frm pm8 as a ntfs drive without drive letter......

pls hlp

i was merging an unallocated space with my drive, then my pc got restarted and now my drive is missing ifound it in pm8 window as
a ntfs drive with no drive letter
so i gave it the letter of my drive and then it showed that it is empty,
i had lots of data in it

so pls hlp me

please help me to find it

am in a bad case scenario

... there should be an "undelete partition" function in pm8

... also make sure it is set as "active"

... you may have hosed the data!

... perhaps put it as it was prior with unallocated space then reboot with pm8 to seek for deleted partition (should be dated)

I know this doesn't help now but you really need to have a backup of important files before using Partition Magic or any such program. Most times they work without problems but sometimes they fail. Of course you should have a backup anyway. Data can be lost for a wide variety of reasons and you need to be prepared when (not if) this happens.

The first thing that deal does is to try to make you create a disaster recovery disk.

Unless you know the original way to correct it or you saved something I think you are done for.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
