Help please! my sims2 Delux game wont install

December 18, 2010 at 03:57:19
Specs: Windows XP
Im a huge fan of the game and i have had it installed on to my computer many times before, but i always uninstall it, for some odd reason (i really dont know why i do this?) but this time it will deffo stay on because i have been inspired to make sim movies. But everytime i install it, it goes up to 2% then says (current file ..support/* part) 'A problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'D:/Support/EA Help/en-us/Error_Message/_CD_DVD_Emulation_Simulation_Detected_.htm' from the media. I have know idea what this means, so please someone help me because i really need the help please PLEASE PLEASE!!! thankyou

Hey mate,

Are you using a CD emulator or is the physical CD in your computer?

Also, is the cd a burnt copy or an original?

Hey mate,

This is what I want you to do. Go to your desktop and make a new folder called 'Sims' (right click on desktop - new folder). Then, Go to My Computer and right click the cd drive. In the menu, click 'Open'. When it opens, you should see a heap of files. Hold down control and press 'A'. All of the files should be selected. Then hold down control and press 'C'. Go back to your desktop and open up the Sims folder. Hold down control and press 'V'. It will take a while, but when all of the files are copied, find a file in the folder called 'setup' or something along those lines. Open it and see how you go.

in your sims folder, there should be either an AutoRun.exe or Setup.exe file. Can you see it?
