Hi..
I was installing Windows_XP sp-2 on my system, and was formatting the HDD following the instructions on the screen that normally appears on the screen during any installation.. The formatting was in progress when suddenly power goes off and since then whenever i try to install windows on my system it says that some drivers of the keyboards are not installed and the installations stops. Please help me. Tell me what is the real problem. Is there any problem occured in my HDD?? Is it damaged??

Exactly. Start again. Interrupted format just means you need to do it again. The drive is not damaged due to a interrupted format.

The power loss can't be predicted as to what may have been damaged. We have lost drives in the past many times like that. It may be that the drives were going to fail anyway but the result is the same.

Either test the hard drive with easily obtained diags or simply try to re-install your OS.

If the re-install fails and the same keyboard deal you may need the motherboard drivers or chipset for that board to be added in to XP.

jefro how is a power loss any different than turning off the computer to a hard drive? Both remove power. The drive doesn't know any better either way.

Power loss is very different than power surge which can affect a drive.
