Specs: Windows XP sp2, 2.4 Ghz / 512 MB
I was installing Windows_XP sp-2 on my system, and was formatting the HDD following the instructions that normally appears on the screen during any installation. For installing the OS i started to format my HDD using FAT system. The formatting was in progress when suddenly power goes off and since then whenever i try to install windows on my system it says that some drivers of the keyboards are not installed and the installations stops.

here is a brief explaination to what goes on actually.

1) I insert CD in the DVD ROM
2) Press key to boot from CD
3) The installation "blue" screen appeares and loads some drivers
4) Error appears saying that Keyboard drivers are not installed reboot your computer

and this is the main problem i cant even start a fresh installation or format my drive. Now please guide me, plz tell what to do. Thanks in advance :-)

Sounds like you have other issues. You need to test your system with a diag suite maybe. Almost any part could be at fault. From cd. cd rom, channel that cd and hard drive are on, memory, hard drive. You have to test somehow.
