Harddrive not found on bootup, but

Specs: Windows XP, over 1GHZ, 256+192?
I inadvertently updated my bios by not removing the floppy disk. Then the computer said it could not find the harddrive, showed F2 to go into setup, and then F1 to continue. I have replaced the bios and put in a new harddrive. I still get the message to choose F1 or F2 on bootup and saying that harddrive not found. However if I hit F1 it does continue on into windows. How can I get rid of this message. I am wondering if there is something in the MOBO that needs correcting. There is no bios reset on the MOBO. Can anyone help? This is a first for myself.

Bronzen, SWAG, what if you simply 'restore' to a time prior to the 'update'? 'Do over'?

Is this an IDE drive? Go into the BIOS. What is the HDD configuration for all four IDE connections?
