harddisk crashed and now not detected

Specs: Windows XP
hard disk complaint and now not detected and i connect it another pc as a slave type,but not detecting and how i recover my data,it is too important...can you help me?

The drive has completely failed and if it is not detected no file recovery software will work. You should never keep valuable data on only one hard drive, it should be kept on at least two drives. It's called "backing up".

All drives fail eventually and yours has reached that point.

The only way to get the data from it is to use a the services of a data recovery company, but that is very expensive.

As phil stated above, the drive is probably defective. However, you still need to verify that.

Where are you looking for the drive?

Is the drive an IDE or SATA type?

Can you tell if the drive is rotating?

Are you sure the power and data cables are good?

Is the hard drive controller enabled in the BIOS?

Watch for the drive information at start up.
