XP is on an HDD that was installed on another computer, and now you want to install the HDD into your computer. ????

Never swap a drive with XP installed on it to another system. As Chuck mentioned, it will not work because of the hardware differences. And at the very least would require a repair install.

It might also corrupt the drive so it doesn't work on the system it came from.
